Some countries, such as the UK, have already started the Covid vaccination campaign. Others, such as France or the United States, are rushing to approve one of the three leading vaccines, putting the final touch to their plans. While most governments seem confident that distributing the vaccine will be enough to bring down Covid, they will need to tackle the somehow misleading assumption that people will want to be vaccinated. Both the UK and France have already announced that they won’t make the vaccine compulsory, which makes this assumption even more dangerous.
