A woman taking a human sexuality course has filed a lawsuit claiming she was required to masturbate, keep detailed sex journals, reveal her fetishes and if she had been sexually abused – or she would not pass the class.

Karen Royce, 60, who took the class in Western Nevada College filed the suit on June 25 against class instructor Tom Kubistant, department chairman Robert Morin and college president Carol Lucey.

She claimed the class assignments were invasive and constituted sexual harassment.

I was in this class with professor Kubistant. The third week I withdrew because it was a freak show. The class was not what the catalog or sylabbus described. He is a total pervert and I hope she wins her case and he gets FIRED along with Carol Lucey the college president. After the way Royce was treated, no student would ever file a complaint because the college will just attack you and do a whole lot of lying. I hope the truth comes out with a jury trail. If you google the professor all you will find is that he writes articles for a golf magazine. He claims to be a “DR” and a professional therapist and psychologist. Funny thing is that he has never even has a teaching or therapist license in the United States. I think that is against the law. Since he writes golf articles, I assume he is writing sex articles for a sex magazine using the students stories. Don’t students have an expectation of privacy as citizens of the United States? Do you surrender your rights because you are a student? What are the boundaries for educators. A finance professor can make you submit your bank statements and credit information? A health teacher wants your medical records , a psychology teacher wants your mental health history, or a religion teacher tells you to practice muslim religion. Kubistant wanted the students parents sex information also. You had to write an assignment about your parents sex lives. So the finance professor can tell you bring your parents financials in too! The bigger picture in this dispute is a right to privacy.
