NICK CLEGG will risk a new Coalition split tomorrow with a sneering attack on marriage and traditional family life.
Just 48 hours after David Cameron championed a call for a revival of Christian values, his Lib Dem deputy plans to brand marriage an outdated concept.
In a keynote speech, Mr Clegg will suggest he sees no value in trying to preserve the institution of marriage, accusing the Conservatives of being reluctant to embrace change.
“The institutions of our society are constantly evolving,” he will say. “Just look at the way the roles of men and women, and attitudes to marriage and divorce, have changed over the last century.
