Juice is being passed off as fresh and local despite the fact that the concentrates used come from countries with questionable farming practices.
Now scientific tests have proven that some juices are laced with toxic chemicals that should not be present.
Orange and apple juices are Australia’s favourites. We drink about 493 million litres every year, while forking out $1.8 billion.
But most popular brands on our supermarket shelves, with labels that clearly state they’re made from imported and local products, contain virtually no Australian juice.
